A quilt made from old clothes, a scrappy quilt and an afghan knitted from leftover yarn. More mom stuff.

Blankets and Quilts

These are more of Mom's blankets my sister Candy has. The first two are flannel blankets that mom made for Candy's son Bryce and and daughter Grace. the second one is a baby quilt mom made for Grace. And the fourth one is a Double Wedding Ring Quilt that mom made for Candy and Craig's wedding.

Honeycomb Quilt
Another of Mom's quilts, also known as Grandmother's Flower Bed, which makes me smile. My daughter Mary has this quilt on her bed.

This is another quilt that mom made, called a Double Wedding Ring Quilt. Dad now has this and the matching pillow sham on his bed in the nursing home.

Currently Working On: #2

Rail Fence Quilt. I took a class in February at a quilt shop. It was a day-long class and I made the entire double bed size quilt top. I am currently on the basting stage. The three layers are pinned together, then thread-basted. The next step is the actual quilting. The book that was used in the class is called Power Cutting, which seems to be out of print, but there are some used copies on Amazon, plus I think you can find it in quilt shops.

Nicole's Make Up Bag
This was fun and fast to make. I might try to sell them. A friend of mine had a book of patterns for quilted bags, called Travel Totes and Bags, by Jerry Shaw. You use pre-quilted fabric.
