This is what I have done so far. I am using a generic glove pattern and just leaving the tip of of the index finger and thumb off.
Using gray Caron Simply Soft.

And the old couple wasn't screwed up, and neither were their kids or their grandkids. And I don't know, you tell me. This whole dream, was it wishful thinking? Was I just fleein' reality like I know I'm liable to do?

Sadly I had to abort this project, as it was taking too much time that I don't have. Maybe next year I will have more time. :(
