I haven't had too much time for crafts lately.... Wait, I take that back, I have been crocheting - I just haven't been able to post too much. My husband, Loyd, had a stroke in June and "we" have been living at the hospital ever since. So I while I'm sitting next to him I crochet. This is something I made for my son-in-law, Gary.
I used a pattern I found on the internet here. I used Lily's Sugar n Cream cotton thread.
The picture didn't turn out great, but these are the baby bottle cozies I've been working on to sell in the shop. Again, it's a pattern I made up, using Lily Sugar n Cream cotton yarn. I crocheted around a stretchy hair band for the neck.
Here are more bookmarks I have made recently, using this book: Three Dozen and One Bookmarks. I use the scanner for these photos instead of a camera because I just like the effect.
This was my own invention - not an original design, I know, but I didn't use a pattern. I did up two plastic canvas crosses and whip stitched them together, so that the back looks neater. It's a little too thick for a bookmark, but there you go. I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn, which is nice and bulky, but soft.
This is my latest brainwave. I have been embroidering birthday cards. It seems a little bit silly, since most people just throw them out, but I'm hoping maybe they will use them for book marks or something. :)
More bookmarks! Yay! I got the patterns at FreePatterns.com except for the pink heart, which is a pattern I've made a lot in various versions. I used size 10 cotton thread. :)
Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your saviour, your guide? If He is, you don't need to search any further for security.

And the old couple wasn't screwed up, and neither were their kids or their grandkids. And I don't know, you tell me. This whole dream, was it wishful thinking? Was I just fleein' reality like I know I'm liable to do?
