Kirk Lawrence

Our good friend, Kirk Lawrence, passed away on February 12, at 9:30 am, after a lengthy battle with brain cancer. He was as comfortable as possible, in a hospice facility in Atlanta. His parents, Deborah and Tim, were with him. Please pray for Kirk's family. He will be buried in Kentucky in a plot that another family member donated.

Kirk lived with our son and daughter in law, Dan and Leslee, for a couple of years. During that time he went through a LOT of chemo and radiation. Dan & Leslee are pretty sad - they were hoping to get up to Atlanta to see Kirk one more time.

Kirk loved movies and milkshakes. He loved God and believed in the power of prayer. When he was living with Dan and Leslee in Tallahassee, he never passed up an opportunity for prayer whenever it was offered. He was a very sweet guy and we will miss him.

Please pray that God will touch lives at Kirk's funeral.

Yoga Mat Bags

This is the yoga mat bag that I made for my granddaughter Skye. This is also the first chance I've gotten to use the "handmade by Carol Boldman" tags that Mary got me for Christmas.

More Stuff Mom Made

A rose crocheted afghan.

A cross stitch perpetual calendar. This hung in one of the bedrooms for years. Kari has it now.

An embroidered bedspread.

What to Do With Scraps

A quilt made from old clothes, a scrappy quilt and an afghan knitted from leftover yarn. More mom stuff.

Red, White and Blue

Here is Mom's red, white and blue quilt. I'm not sure the real name of it.

Basket Liner

I got this basket from mom. I lined it with duck cloth and am using it for my stash of leftover yarn balls. Another thing to remember mom by.

Anna's LIttle Neck Scarf

Anna's little neck scarf. I made the pattern up as I went, from a picture Anna gave me. The yarn is Lion Brand Chenille. I used 2 strands held together, one was a wine red the other one was mixed reds. The buttons came from the button stash Mom gave me.

Christmas Gator

I made this for Jo Jo while I was up in Ohio. I got the pattern from the Michaels website and used Caron Simply Soft yarn.
